His Excellency Mr. Philip Kuroghobogha IKURUSI, arrived Buenos Aires in April, 2021, to assume duties as Ambassador at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria accredited to the Republic of Argentina, with concurrent accreditation to the Republics of Chile, Peru and Uruguay.

Ambassador Ikurusi is a diplomat from Brass, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.  He attended Donetsk Polytechnic Institute, Donetsk, Ukraine, and graduated in 1984 with Masters(Hon) in Metallurgical Engineering in Ferrous Metals. Before his appointment as Ambassador in July, 2020, both home and abroad, he served in various capacities in organisations such as: Managing Director, at Alvanti Investment Limited, (1994-2020); Nigeria; Manager, Cannon Ventures Limited, Port Harcourt, from 1990 -1994; Assistant Manager, PepsiCo International, London, UK, (1985-1990). 

Ambassador Ikurusi is a Certified Associate in Project management, attended international Course on Human Rights and International Criminal Law. Additionally, he was the President of the Nigerian Students Union in the former Soviet Union (1982-1983).

In addition, Ambassador Ikurusi undertook various engagements, both home and abroad, to scale up the goals and objectives of the Government of Nigeria in the following areas. Coordinator of Niger Delta Awareness, Cork, Ireland, (2005-2010); Member of Techno-Economic Survey Team for Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Abuja, Nigeria, (1999-2000); and Resource Person for Vision 2010 for the Niger Delta (1997).
